Founded by Mr. Warlito Manlapaz and Mrs. Carmelita Manlapaz, the company's values of hard work and unwavering commitment are deeply rooted in their devotion to St. Joseph the Worker, the company's patron saint. These values laid the foundation and pillars of the family businesses. In a seamless transition during the pandemic, the second generation of the Manlapaz family now leads SJGI, with Mr. Christian Manlapaz as Chairman.

Business Development Officer
The Business Development Officer will support the holding company's strategic growth by identifying, evaluating, and executing new business opportunities, partnerships, investments across subsidiaries, and divestments. The role requires strong analytical, coordination, and project management skills to ensure that new initiatives are aligned with the group's strategic objectives and executed efficiently from planning to turnover. Business Development and Strategic Initiatives - Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and investments aligned with group strategy. - Conduct/Facilitate feasibility studies, market research, and financial analyses for new and existing projects. - Support the development of proposals, business cases, and investment recommendation papers for Management and Board approval. - Collaborate with subsidiaries to identify synergies and cross-business opportunities. - Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts that could impact the group's portfolio. Project Management - Manage the implementation of approved projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and performance targets. - Develop and maintain project charters, work plans, and progress reports. - Coordinate cross-functional teams, external partners, and vendors to deliver project milestones. - Monitor risks, propose mitigation strategies, and escalate issues proactively to Management. - Support the turnover and transition of projects to designated business unit leaders or operating teams. Cross-Group Coordination - Work closely with Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure compliance and due diligence for business initiatives. - Facilitate alignment between subsidiaries and the holding company on strategic direction, policies, and KPIs. - Track and report the performance of ongoing projects and new business ventures. Documentation and Reporting - Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for Management and ManCom review. - Maintain accurate records of business development activities, agreements, and project documentation.
